So recently I have been trying out some new baking recipes and oh my, I just happened to be in love with banana bread. It is easy to make, calls for easy to get and simple ingredients. It is also not overly sweet, as recently I have lost my sweet tooth cravings, and in fact very moist and soft “bread” that is more like a light dessert, that does not ask for any further commitments to work out at the gym.
Good recipes are worth writing down and saving in files, and I hope some of you might find this as useful as I did.Anyway, the recipe down below is so far the best that I have found:
- 3 or 4 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup of butter (unsalted)
- 2/3 cup of sugar (you can add more or less, up to your taste)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cup pf flour
So it is very simple and easy, straight forward. At first, preheat the oven – 175F or 350C. You need to start working with the ingredients in the sequence as they are listed. Mash bananas with warm butter, no need to use mixer. After that add some sugar. In a separate bowl beat up the egg and then add it to the mixture. Following that add vanilla, baking soda and salt, mix well. Flour comes the last, gradually add flour to the mixture, and make sure there is no clumps. After that pour batter into the bread loaf form or springform pan, as you wish and pop it in the preheated oven (175 C or 350 F) for an hour and “Ta da!” you have the amazingly delicious banana bread.
Enjoy!
