It is not a secret – I love floral prints, and who doesn’t? But as of the moment this trend is crossing the line from being cute and feminine to being overused. Florals are great, but I would like to see it used in accents and details, rather than a full length dress in big colorful flowers. I guess I am just craving something new, and there is nothing wrong with that… I hope 🙂
This dress represents a combination of fresh summer palette together with calm floral print, and just a touch of accessories. It is fresh and breezy, easy to wear!
Find this dress at my Burda studio, here, and this dress is also my entry to participate in “Project Sewn” sew-along, here.
Materials: lemon yellow crepe, floral silk, invisible zipper
Pattern: bodice part is drafted off the Burda’s balloon dress and straps added, skirt part is self drafted using 3 different fabric panels.
What I love is that there is nothing difficult about this dress, but at the same time there is some certain charm and glow!
P.S.:
I actually made another crop top out of this floral fabric, which in fact was a skirt prior that. You can see it clearly from these pictures. For some reason I lost my love towards this skirt and remade it successfully into something useful 🙂

Its beautiful.Great light colours and the floral pattern. Good shots 🙂
