Sewing for summer: Burda’s silk shorts

Burda's silk summer shorts

To say that summer in Nevada is hot is to say nothing at all. It is steaming, boiling and all in all unbelievably HOT! For me, the best way to deal with heat like this, is to use natural  and lightweight materials like silk, cotton and etc. These shorts are easy to make, waistband is elasticated and they also have two nice details: side overlapping seams and little tie belt (can not really see it in the pictures).

Pattern: Burda’s pattern of Blossom Shorts, lining added

Materials: Dupioni silk, crepe, elasticated band

Find this project on Burda’s Style website, find me on Kollabora and don’t forget to pin it 🙂 Bu the way, pictures were taken by the Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas. Find me on Pinterest.
