Curiosity is a great mover of life, it pushes us to explore our limits, it discovers untouched beauty, it reveals unknown. Curiosity goes one step before progress, one step before all great discoveries. Everything in life has a purpose and a meaning, it is just the matter of realizing it, unveiling it, finding it. Curiosity…such simple … Continue reading Wordless Wednesday: exploring my new camera
It has been crazy lately: with wedding preparations and work in-between, as well as life just in general… I honestly could not keep up with running my blog and posting as often as I would like to, posting quality blog posts and really devoting my time to my readers and followers. Finally, I have everything lined … Continue reading Wordless Wednesday: I am back!
So! Generic and boring is really not what I go for, ever, but I need to say, sometimes it is useful. I haven’t painted anything in quite some time, and tonight was the night. I got my paints ready, my brushes in the water and my canvas on the easel. I thought to try … Continue reading Wordless Wednesday: Generic, but sort of satisfying…
I believe that as far as art goes I am one lucky person. I see art, I touch it and I create it almost every single day. It is all around me: canvas, designed clothing, food art, art of literature. “No matter where I might be I am thinking of you, therefore I am sending you this postcard” – that’s what the postcard is for me. And I believe for my 22 years long life I have sent over 200 postcards from around the world to dozens of people. Two days ago I received a Christmas postcard from my high school fellow and it indeed brought back all the wonderful memories of my gap year journey. It is not only about where do you travel, but mostly how you remember that place. World is a magical place with so many secrets to explore, so keep on going and never stop!
Right now I am stretched between UK and USA, and will remain being in-between for couple of months more. If you would like to receive a postcard from me – with the biggest pleasure I will send a reason to smile to you! Let me know, facebook me (Alisa Sibrova) or let me know by dropping an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Below you will find showcase consisting of postcards from my own collection from the places that I have been to. Enjoy!
I do enjoy writing but I can’t say I am particularly great at it. Well, maybe I am (NOT), but my humble bone keeps me going and thriving for perfection. Anyway, truth is – you won’t know until you try. Here you will find some short stories I have written over past few months. … Continue reading My short stories
How many times is it possible to start everything from a scratch, from zero, to begin your life road at this empty point A and burn bridges behind you? Once you never go back on your promises, once you never doubt yourself for decisions you made. Once you have left everything and everyone behind.
A short personal essay on one’s perspective on the society and decisions. For Cake Wednesday Write in. Prompts: hideout :: transitory :: share :: full bodied :: problem They said I read too many clever books, and that I thought too much. That I was bothering and irritating, and then almost disturbingly hated … Continue reading Make a decision and own it!
